Cut a total of 24 feet in a concrete floor, and it was still cutting great at the end. I constantly sprayed water to the blade stopping every 6inches to scrap away the slurry. It went surprisingly fast, cutting about 9-12inches a minute. My Skill saw wanted to drift to the right, it took some muscle to keep it on track.. But I don’t think it was related to the blade.

I like this blade a lot. Since 4 1/2″ is a more common blade in the stores, I usually got those but I have a 5″ angle grinder and decided to try this one when I found it here. It cuts smooth and fast. It’s a noticeable improvement over any of the 4 1/2″ blades I’ve used so far and I’ve used a lot. I think the main reason for this is when you go from 4 1/2″ to 5″ they increase the segments from 9 to 10. That’s pretty simple math …adding another segment for only another additional 1/4″ radius. I’ve used other, brand name blades, at 4 1/2″ and this is a better blade. If you have a 5″ angle grinder and are still using 4 1/2″ blades, it’s time to up it.

I bought this blade for a mail box project and was very happy with it. I made 12 cuts though 2 1/2” stone blocks and the blade did not slow down or have a problem getting though it (slow and steady). I used it as a dry blade on my cheap tool shop Menards angle saw and it did awesome. If your doing a home project this is perfect, not sure how it would do using it in a commercial setting. Buy prime and you get a 30 day return window.

I needed to cut a few pavers/bricks for a small project. This blade did the job nicely. Clean cut, no struggle. I only cut a few blocks I needed to finish a splash guard I was putting up around my sump pump discharge (normally I run a hose, but wanted to build a small wall in case I wasn’t home and it turned on so that it would not wash out the mulch). The blade looked good afterwards. Would recommend. I will update if I use on any future projects. Also, as a side note, there is a lot of dust with dry cutting blocks, so be sure to grab a mask.

So, got the new blades in and so today was day 1 on the ‘try out’ for these blades. If you cut rock you already know it’s not how well it starts off cutting, its how long it keeps cutting, smoothly, and without calling out the 300-pound gorilla from your inner caveman.Well at the end of day one about 70 to 80 14″ cuts through 1 1/2″ cinderblock top caps for landscape wall blocks were cut. Result? Still cutting very well. There must be some degradation and loss in cutting power and speed but it is still too little to comment on. I plan to return and update my rating when I get back to cutting but for a while, the new cedar shakes on our gallery building have all my attention right now. As it stands right now this may well be a bargain ‘Econo priced’ blade. Diamond blades that have cost me twice a much have not been this good.
